First of all, we would like to thank Richie O’Shea for sending us this CD for airplay on ‘Proud to be Irish’. He currently owns and runs an Irish gift shop in Long Island but is still involved in the Irish music scene. First of all, we’d like to thank whoever sent us this Croabh Rua CD. I don’t even remember who it was, unfortunately. We used to play Croabh Rua often on ‘Proud to be Irish’ in the past, but we just slowly got out of the habit of playing them now. It has been great to refresh our memories about the songs that they sing for possible airplay during ‘Old-Fashioned Sunday’ this coming Sunday.

First of all, we would like to thank whoever sent us this CD for airplay on‘Proud to be Irish’. We have played it repeatedly through the years and it is extremely popular with our listeners. As a matter of fact, I believe that this was the first CD ever played on ‘Proud to be Irish’ on the first show in 1992! :) We received a desperate phone call from our station manager at the time and I think that Another Country by The Chieftains was the only CD that he had brought with him to last the entire three hour long show! :)
